Each day, the bell will ring and everyone will have their notebook out. That is our psychology notebook. In it, we have a wide array if topics ranging from the brain itself to childhood development. Over the course of this school year, we have learned materials such as how psychology is studied and observed to what is being observed. We went from learning what case studies are to learning what these case studies are about.
We have learned the functions of each part of the brain such as the amygdala, the frontal lobe, the cerebral cortex, and so on. Then, we moved on to learn about how people grow and develop from infants to adults. The process and what may disrupt the normal formations of the brain and personality. Now, we have moved to personality disorder and we are studying the way it affects lives and which is truly considered a mental illness and which is just romanticized by society.
